Review: NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil 20th Anniversary Edition

♫ NU'EST - 여보세요 (Hello)

Hello my lovelies! Have your ever heard of a 'dry' oil that can be used for body, hair and even face?! Well, I certainly haven't, until I met this glowing golden gem last week. (≧∇≦)

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse 20th Anniversary Edition
I was sent a bottle of NUXE Huile Prodigieuse 20th Anniversary Edition Multi-Usage Dry Oil (100ml) to review by SaSa Malaysia. NUXE, which originates from France, is a brand whose name means nature and luxury.

NUXE prides itself on being the first to introduce dry oil to the world. The first Muli-Purpose and Multi Usage Dry Oil is often copied, but never equalled. With more than 98.8% of natural origin's  ingredients, it contains a unique concentration of 30% Precious Plant Oils and Vitamin E. It has a very distinct fragrance made up of orange blossom, rose and vanilla, which to me smells very exotic (and somewhat Oriental-slash-Middle-Eastern, lol). ಠ_ಠ

This special 20th anniversary edition is to commemorate 20 successful years since the birth of NUXE dry oil, which one bottle is now sold every six seconds all over the world. The simple square glass bottle contains 100ml of the precious 'Huile Prodigieuse' (translated as 'prodigious oil'), and has a very minimalist heart-shaped sticker on the front. Additional information regarding the dry oil is printed on the cardboard collar that comes with the 20th anniversary edition.

It comes with a spray nozzle and protective cover, both which are gold just like the sticker and liquid. Indeed, it has a very luxurious and elegant design and overall feel. Not surprising, considering that a bottle is worth RM148.

Texture of the dry oil
Spray a small amount and massage into areas with dry skin
The dry oil has a light texture that is easily absorbed when gently massaged into the skin, and does not leave a greasy feeling. Besides that, it also leaves behind a subtle but distinct fragrance. If used on the body (arms and legs), you most probably won't need any perfume.

This NUXE dry oil can nourish, repair and soften your face, body and hair in a single step. After using, face and body are left feeling soft and silky, while hair becomes supple, soft and shining with health.

Beauty Tips:
  • Mix a drop of Huile Prodigieuse with your usual foundation for easier glide-on application with no sticky effect.
  • Spray a little into the palm of your hand then gently tousle your hair for a natural result.
  • Sprinkle a few drops into your bath for a truly relaxing experience.
Since the dry oil is suitable for face, body and hair, I think the tip about mixing it with foundation is a really good idea, especially for those with dry skin. Gotta try it one of these days. (◕‿◕✿)

✓ Pros: Suitable for face, body and hair; light texture, non-greasy, easily absorbed, pleasant fragrance, luxurious and minimalist packaging.
✗ Cons: Expensive, scent might be a bit strong for some people.

The NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil (100ml) retails at RM148, and is sold at SaSa Malaysia stores. You can find out more from SaSa Malaysia's Facebook and Twitter.

This is the first time I hear the term 'dry oil' ...it is a little pricy but it sounds good that it is non greasy.
