The Butterfly Project Christmas Beauty Box: Part Two - Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Cleanser & Moisturizer

♫ 森山直太朗 - さくら

The last time I actually used any Garnier products was way back in  2011 when the Light BB Roll-On was launched, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover these in my Butterfly Project Christmas Beauty Box last December.

Garnier's Sakura White Pinkish Radiance skincare range claims to help achieve fair, fresh, translucent skin with a radiant pinkish glow in 4 weeks. While I have tried my fair share of whitening skincare and cleansing products, I was attracted to the 'pinkish radiance' part, not to mention the lovely scent of Sakura (cherry blossoms).

Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Gentle Cleansing Foam (100ml) - RM 12.90
A cleansing foam enriched with Sakura Extract from Japan, it deeply and gently cleanses the skin to reveal fresh and pinkish radiant complexion. It is suitable for sensitive skin, and dermatologically tested and carefully designed for Asian skin.

This gentle cleanser lathers up nicely, and helps to cleanse my face without stripping it of moisture. There's no 'squeaky' feeling after washing, and the scent is pleasant too. It didn't cause any breakouts, and the packaging is simple but convenient (and pinkishly pretty to boot).

Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Moisturizing Cream with SPF 21 (50ml) - RM 24.90
A moisturizing cream with SPF21 properties, this delicate pinkish cream with a blend of Sakura Extract, Vitamin B3 and Vitamin CG nourishes skin deeply and helps to lighten your skin tone and dark spots, refine skin texture, and smoothen pores. Achieve fair, fresh, translucent skin with a radiant pinkish glow in 4 weeks!

The moisturizing cream comes in a rotund little pink glass jar. It's fairly sturdy and can survive a few bumps, but it does not include a spatula to scoop up the cream.

I quite like this cream, as it contains SPF and smells really lovely. The texture is medium-thick, like most cream moisturizers, but is smooth and easily absorbed into the skin without any sticky or greasy feeling. The pinkish tint also helps to (slightly) brighten skin tone and adds a nice glow to the skin. Me likey. (¬‿¬)

I would totally recommend this Garnier Sakura White range, as it is really affordable and works well on my normal/combination skin type. The foam cleanser makes a great everyday face wash, and the moisturizing cream helps to keep my skin moisturized while providing some protection from the sun (plus it has a nice scent ^^).

Oh wow, you always get some amazing whitening and brightening skincare products! I'm pretty sure this won't be launched in Europe (but still, fingers crossed) :)

Oh yeah, I have the moisturizer too, I could get two packs of 7ml sachets on ebay.. (as a fellow european in the comment section ^^)
My oily combination skin finds it super moisturizing, but non-greasy.

Sara: It's so annoying when products are region-specific, right?! >_< Well, there's always online shopping, but shipping is always a killer. :(

crackpot_honey: Glad you managed to find it, even though it's not the proper jar, haha! :) I have normal combination skin and it doesn't feel gready on me even in our hot climate, so I think it should suit most, if not all, skintypes. ^^
