Review: CLIO Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner in #14 Bloody Angel

♫ TVXQ! - Something

I finally got my hands on this CLIO Gelpresso eyeliner! I'd been lemming after it ever since I saw the promotional pictures from CLIO about their Bloody series featuring the beautiful Sandara Park.

There was an ongoing sale at Watson's recently, and since I had to use up my member points before they expired, I quickly grabbed the one I had my eye on - #14 Bloody Angel.

Here's a look at the ingredients list.

This gel liner is packaged like a pencil liner, and is retractable. I like this design because it's more convenient and doesn't waste any product. The red part at the bottom not only helps you to identify the colour, but is also the part where you twist to extend or retract the eyeliner.

Retractable - no wastage!
It comes with a tip sharpener at the bottom, which is really handy. :)

#14 Bloody Angel is a rose pink liner with silver shimmer. The formula was perfect - smooth and creamy with great colour payoff. It dries fairly quickly, so you'll have to work quickly if you want to blend it out to use as an eyeshadow colour.

I tested its smudgeproof and waterproof properties, and I have to say I'm impressed. The liner stays put once dry, doesn't smudge nor fade even after 8 hours, yet easily removed at the end of the day using makeup remover.

I tried a pink+red eyeshadow look with this eyeliner, and I really like the result! It's a nice change from the usual dark liners. (>y<)

I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and bought this eyeliner. I've never been a fan of pencil gel liners because the ones I tried before were too dry/hard, so this one was a real joy to use. I'm contemplating purchasing a couple more, haha! Too bad they're so expensive, but with the current discount at Watsons, maybe I'll splurge a bit for my birthday month. :)

Mizu: I think this red is still ok, coz it's not too dark. It will look great blended out as an eyeshadow too. :D

Kar Lina: Aww thank you~ :)

Nicole: Hahaha I was skeptical at first too but this colour really made me drool after seeing swatches online so I just *HAD* to get it.

I'm going to say that I was rather skeptical about the actual wearability of this colour off the runway and on the 'realway' but I really think you wore it better than the model on the packaging.
Where it looks scary on her, it actually looks wearable and natural on you.
Thanks for doing this review. I probably wouldn't have given this Clio colour a second look otherwise.

That's a nice gel eye liner you have there, Laura. I haven't seen it here in Philippines, though. Or maybe I haven't checked Watson's that much. :)

I would love to learn to apply eyeliner for this year. What could you recommend for me? :)

Is this available in the Philippines?
