Review: L'Oreal Paris White Perfect Series

♫ Taylor Swift - Fearless

Remember my post about the L'Oreal Laser White Perfect range? Well, I've used it diligently for slightly over 6 weeks as of the end of September, so here's my review of the items from the L'Oreal Laser White Perfect range!

I'll be reviewing each product in the order that I use them in my daily cleansing routine. :)

L'Oreal White Perfect Milky Foam Cleanser

The first step to my cleansing routine. I use this every morning during my wash-up and at night before going to sleep. This cleanser is dispensed as a cream from the tube, but with water it easily lathers up into a milky foam.
For me, this cleanser works well in cleaning away the dust and dirt from everyday activities, and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and refreshed. However, it also makes my combination skin (dry cheeks, oily T-zone) feel very dry after just a few minutes. Which leads me to Step 2...

L'Oreal White Perfect Toner

A lot of people will skip this step after washing their face, but I feel that it is an important part of the routine, because toner is meant to help you invigorate, tone and prep your skin for moisturizer.
Like all toners, this one is watery and light, so I always apply it with a cotton pad and then spread it evenly over my face. It is easily absorbed and makes my skin feel invigorated and smoother. I also love the scent! :D One good thing about this toner is that it does not dry out my skin, unlike a lot of other toners which have high alcohol content.

L'Oreal White Perfect Laser Essence Serum

This essence serum is one of the two main products from their new White Perfect Laser range, and is used to prevent dark spots as well as lightening them.
One pump is sufficient to apply over my entire face (remember to avoid the eye area!) and the texture is really light and is quickly absorbed into my skin. It is also slightly moisturizing without being greasy, which I like on days that I stay home and am too lazy to put on moisturizer. (Oops...)

L'Oreal White Perfect Micro-Vibration Eye Cream

This nifty little product has both eye cream to help brighten the eye area and reduce dark circles, and a small vibrating tip to help reduce puffiness under the eye. The eye area is the most delicate area of our face, so it is important to take care of it, especially if (like me) you frequently use makeup like eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer, etc. :)
Like the serum, this eye cream is specifically used to target a small area (eyes), so a small amount is enough. Just spread it on the under-eye area and then use the vibrating tool to massage the product into your skin. Pretty straightforward, and the instructions are easily seen on the side on the box packaging. Personally, I felt that this eye cream and vibrating tool was so-so only, as I had been previously using another eye cream that suited me better.

Last but not least, the final step...

L'Oreal White Perfect Laser Day Cream with SPF19A+++

This creamy moisturizer contains Pro-Vanish active whitening technology, which helps to brighten and even out your skin tone. With its SPF19A+++ content, this product also helps protect skin from harmful UV rays which can lead to pigmentation.
The cream has a slight pinkish tinge to it.
As I mentioned before in my previous post, it has a slight pink tinge. I find that it helps to instantly make my skin look brighter and more even in tone. The texture of the cream itself if quite thick and rich, but it is absorbed after a couple of minutes and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. However, it is advisable to start with a small pea-sized amount, as over-application can result in extremely oily-looking skin! (Speaking from personal experience, lol.) I quite like this day cream, mostly due to the fact that it has SPF and helps to effectively moisturize and brighten the skin. I would also advise those with sensitive or extremely dry skin from using this though, as it can be a bit harsh. Normal/combination skin types are fine though.

Some reference/comparison pics before and after using the product (for approximately 7 weeks from August to September). They were taken under different lighting conditions, but overall my skin does look slightly brighter and some darker spots are lightened.

I hope that my review has been helpful, if you've been contemplating whether to try out the White Perfect range from L'Oreal. :)
Till next time, have a great day!

I can't use L'oreal. I'm not sure why. Bodyshop/Shiseido suits me better.

But a good review! I'll make sure I'll share it with my friends:)

Yup, I've heard a few of my friends say the same thing, that L'Oreal products aren't really suitable for their skin. It's ok for me, but I think I still prefer using the previous cleanser I used; I like this L'Oreal day cream though. :)

Isabel: I like the toner coz it smells nice, lol! Well, I think if u have really dry or sensitive skin, it will sting a bit, because some day when my skin is really dry (from air cond or whatever), it will sting a bit.

The white perfect laser is the best and most effective whitening product that I've used so far. The price keeps on getting higher and higher though. :/ but I'm still buying it anyway. Haha
